The 2020 Core77 Design Awards Consumer Technology Honorees by Core77 Design Awards

The 2020 Core77 Design Awards Consumer Technology category honors consumer software or hardware products for the home or personal use that are screen-based, tech-enabled, or Internet-connected.

This year's Core77 Design Awards Consumer Technology team was led by Daniel Hundt, Director of Design at Nuro. Joining him on the panel were Youenn Colin, Design Director of Connected Products & Spaces at Fjord, Irina Koslovskaya, Director of Industrial Design at Fitbit, and Shady Shahid, Principal at MAST.

The 2020 Core77 Design Awards Commercial Equipment Honorees by Core77 Design Awards

The 2020 Core77 Design Awards Commercial Equipment category honors operational equipment and systems designed for public, commercial, industrial, medical and scientific use. Examples include: machinery, medical instruments and devices, construction tools, transaction kiosks, weather instruments, etc. 

This year's Core77 Design Awards Commercial Equipment team was led by Peter Michaelian, Head of Design at Dolby Laboratories. Joining him on the panel were Anton Ljunggren, Director of Global Design and Innovation at PepsiCo, and Christopher Kuh, VP of the Industrial Design Studio at Ammunition.

How to Make Your Own Custom Color Gradient Markers by Rain Noe

Gradient markers only come in grey, and often have difficult-to-read labels. Industrial designer Eric Strebel figured out how to make custom color gradient markers, and fixed the label problem while he was at it. And rather ingeniously, he hacked tampons to create the cartridges.
